BRISTOL  INDUSTRIAL  MUSEUM

B.I.M. is situated on Princes Wharf in Bristol Historic Dock in an old transit shed. Printing, flying, trains, cars, buses and ships are just some of the subjects you can expect to experience at the Industrial Museum,
Which contains over 700 exhibits relating to Bristol's long and varied industrial past
The Transport gallery displays most forms of land transport with a particular Bristol twist, almost all were built here, in the cityfascinated by anything that moves, Favourites include the world's first holiday caravan and a 1950s equivalent, the Grenville steam carriage  and a working Gauge 1 model railway. There are also bicycles, motorcycles, cars, carriages and a Lodekka bus which is still used to this day to carry visitors from the City Museum to the Industrial museum for Sunday Fundays.

The Power to fly
The power to fly gallery contains the definitive collection of Bristol-made aero engines, together with a mock-up flight deck of Concorde and a Sycamore helicopter.  Scale models show the many aircraft built in the city. 
The Port of Bristol
The story of the Port of Bristol is told with models, paintings and fascinating objects.  There are great views across the city and the docks from the viewing balcony.
Print & Pack
The Print & Pack gallery tells the story of one of Bristol's biggest industries with machinery and products.  There are ex-factory printing machines which are put to good use during the regular hands-on family activities days. You can make your own poster or bag to take home.
